Hope you had a wonderful Independence Day weekend! Hard to believe our nation is 250 years old! Shane and I took it easy and did our woods walk that afternoon. It's been a week of running around so it was nice just kicking back, watching birds, and enjoying nature. Enjoy! Amy

Gardens & Nature: June 29, 2026!
This past week went from the 90s early on to the 60s and rain by the weekend. I spent a good deal of time in the heat working on my new planting guide, but Shane and I enjoyed a woods walk and birding Saturday morning with the arrival of cooler temperatures. Later that morning we took a peaceful trip up the river, completely unaware of the drama unfolding back home. We returned to a full-blown Tornado Warning! Everyone is safe, but it was quite a scare. Dive into this week's updates below! Enjoy! Amy
Gardens & Nature: June 22, 2026!
This week was less eventful than last week! This is a much larger blog this time though! Shane made something for my mother, we did some birding, Shane did some fishing, and we went on a woods walk of course! LOTS of photos! Enjoy! Amy
Gardens & Nature: June 15, 2026!
Saturday I manage to get stung by a yellow jacket while Shane was driving, 15 minutes later an ambulance took me to the hospital because my body passed out (though I was very aware of everything). I now have a prescription for an Epi-Pen! Dang critters! Otherwise, we have a mini-garden now! We also beat the heat by doing an early Woods Walk on Sunday too. Enjoy! Amy
Homestead Happenings 11/16/22
Last Saturday the farm truck broke down in a, fortunately, cheap fix. The Alternator belt spaghettified and the main serpentine belt was extremely cracked upon inspection. Shane fixed it Sunday so we were able to take some sheep to the auction. Beyond that excitement, there are some other fun updates in the blog today as well! Enjoy! Amy
