Another quiet summer week on the ranch. We took a leisurely woods walk Saturday afternoon and a quick stroll through a park on Sunday morning. Shane did some great work on mom's 'bird tree' over the weekend too. Enjoy! Amy

Homestead Happenings: Flowers & Nature 7/6/26!
Hope you had a wonderful Independence Day weekend! Hard to believe our nation is 250 years old! Shane and I took it easy and did our woods walk that afternoon. It's been a week of running around so it was nice just kicking back, watching birds, and enjoying nature. Enjoy! Amy
Homestead Happenings: Flowers & Nature 6/29/26!
This past week went from the 90s early on to the 60s and rain by the weekend. I spent a good deal of time in the heat working on my new planting guide, but Shane and I enjoyed a woods walk and birding Saturday morning with the arrival of cooler temperatures. Later that morning we took a peaceful trip up the river, completely unaware of the drama unfolding back home. We returned to a full-blown Tornado Warning! Everyone is safe, but it was quite a scare. Dive into this week's updates below! Enjoy! Amy

This week was less eventful than last week! This is a much larger blog this time though! Shane made something for my mother, we did some birding, Shane did some fishing, and we went on a woods walk of course! LOTS of photos! Enjoy! Amy
Homestead Happenings: Flowers & Nature 6/15/26!
Saturday I manage to get stung by a yellow jacket while Shane was driving, 15 minutes later an ambulance took me to the hospital because my body passed out (though I was very aware of everything). I now have a prescription for an Epi-Pen! Dang critters! Otherwise, we have a mini-garden now! We also beat the heat by doing an early Woods Walk on Sunday too. Enjoy! Amy
