Important!
If you would like to see the animals before deciding to purchase, please make an appointment and be prepared to follow our biosecurity protocols mentioned in the Ranch Visits page.
Prices are subject to change as the market changes.
Please verify with us when you ask to be on the waiting list.
Prices listed are not a guarantee we will have them for sale. We have potential for animals in any of these categories, but if they don’t make the cut, there won’t be any available in that category.
Feeder Lambs/Market Sheep
Feeder lambs consists of lambs that didn’t make the cut as breeding stock. Ram lambs will be castrated in most cases. We do not keep feeder lambs to grow out to finished weights. You must have your own facility for that purpose. We also do not take feeder lambs to processing facilities, that is your responsibility.
Lambs are weighed at weaning (approx 60-90 days of age) and placed into the categories below. We do not sell by the pound. Once our wait list has been picked up, the leftover lambs are weighed once a month and price adjusted accordingly, until I decide they need to go to auction or in my freezer.
Adult sheep who can no longer be breeding stock (udder issues, old age, etc) will be sold as market animals.
Prices are firm.
Here are the averages:
30-39lbs – $100
40-49lbs – $130
50-59lbs – $160
60-69lbs – $190
70-79lbs – $220
80-89lbs – $250
Adult Sheep – $100
St Croix Breeding Stock
We sell both Registered and Commercial (un-papered) St Croix breeding stock.
Un-Papered just means they could have been registered but just fell short of our rigorous demands for registration (great for those just looking for a cheaper option for a commercial operation). Registered adults who start to slow down production (but are otherwise sound) will be sold as un-papered breeding stock as well.
Those that have papers are Registered with St Croix Hair Sheep Breeders.
Paperwork will be handled by us and mailed to you from the Registry.

Katahdin Breeding Stock
We sell both Registered and Commercial (Recorded or un-papered) Katahdin breeding stock.
Our Registered Katahdin have been upgraded (or have recent ancestors that have been upgraded) from 87.5+% Recorded.
Our Recorded Katahdin are either purebred that lost papers somewhere in their background or crossbred (likely with some percentage of Dorper and/or St Croix for the most part). These animals are held to the same standards as Registered breeding stock.
Un-Papered just means they could have been registered/recorded but just fell short of our rigorous demands for registration/recordation (great for those just looking for a cheaper option for a commercial operation). Registered/Recorded adults who start to slow down production (but are otherwise sound) will be sold as un-papered breeding stock as well.
Those that have papers are Recorded/Registered with Katahdin Hair Sheep International.
Paperwork will be handled by us and mailed to you from the Registry.

Deposits
Prices for breeding stock will be listed for each animal on the sales pages.
$100 deposits will be made for breeding stock sheep to hold until they are available or if they are not getting picked up right away. If I don’t get a deposit to reserve your spot on the waiting list, you may be bumped if someone else pays the deposit. Deposits can be refunded if the animals don’t make the final cut or you change your mind.
Adult Ewes Exposed to Rams
If there are any adult breeding stock ewes being sold, they have the option to be bred before leaving. A $25 exposure fee plus payment in full for the ewe must be received in lieu of the $100 deposit. Dates for breeding and pickup will be discussed at that time.
