Lughnasadh Edition: Planting Times

Here on the homestead, I decided to dedicate to Lughnasadh my list of common veggies, when they can be planted in zone 8b, what they are beneficial with and what they can't be planted around. We try to do companion planting whenever we plant our raised beds. Still lots to do before winter. Enjoy your planting!

Thank Goodness That’s Over….But Wait…

We had a week of mid to upper 90's and even 100 last week. It cooled down this week, but this weekend has a small stretch of 90's again.... Just one more month...one more month....one more month... Enjoy! Amy

Breeding Has Begun…and Pumpkins?

I got up early to beat the heat and sort the sheep for breeding to start! There's a surprise in the barnyard as well as chick updates. Enjoy! Amy

Water, a Necessity of Life

Water, a Necessity of Life

This week was a bit chaotic with losing water and having some hot weather come through. Shane's work schedule changed so now we have to be quiet until about noon, changing some of our routines too. We did squeeze in some time at the river though! Enjoy! Amy
