We are now doing two blog posts. One for the wilds, the online store, and holidays. The other is more for the homestead stuff (sheep, chickens, garden, etc).
I hope you all had a great holiday season! Time has flown by. The online store is LIVE and CHECK OUT WHAT SHANE FOUND HIMSELF FOR HIS BIRTHDAY!
Enjoy! Amy

The Fairy Ring Online Store Launches!

Shane & I decided to finally create the online store called The Fairy Ring!
The vibe is rather woodsy, nature, fairy-core. We’re starting out with high quality stickers able to be put on vehicles and not just water bottles and computer cases. In time I hope to make “folk remedies” (herbal salves and such) and jewelry (mostly necklaces and bracelets). My daughter is a pro at bracelet making so those may end up on there before my jewelry.
Here’s a sneak peak of some of the stickers:

Shane’s 50th Birthday – becoming the wizard of the woods!

A few days before….
Our old 4-Runner decided to die a nasty, loud death. We think it may have been the muffler or catalytic converter being clogged and the pressure backed up into the engine and blew something out. It no longer starts and when he tried, it was an awful screech. This vehicle isn’t worth the amount it would take to fix (especially since I totalled it a few years back). He went looking for cheaper vehicles online when he came across his dream vehicle. It was out of his price range, but after talking to his credit union, he knew what he could offer them, and they accepted just a few days before his 50th birthday this month!!
It’s a 1976 VW Transporter! The paint job is going to be covered by a vehicle wrap (not keeping the marijuana leaf and joint haha). He works at a sign & graphics shop so they are designing something cool for him to cover all that airbrush!
Here is The Beast!

The day of…
Level 50 unlocked: Wizard status achieved.

Earlier in the day, Shane and I went to lunch at Filberts in Aurora for some wonderful vittles!
We had rain all day then it broke and stayed dry while we had the fire down in our picnic area! Shane stayed down there until the fire burned down, well after dark. I came back up to make dinner for mom, Ember and I. Such a perfect day for a December birthday!

Woods Walk…
Ember and I went for a walk on 12/19/25 to see if there was any damage to our picnic area down by the creek. Fortunately it was spared but sure a lot of water down there! I let her use my camera to take some pictures for her photography class. Some were a little blurry, but I picked the best ones:

The bobcat is back! Just a quick blip, but Christmas morning no less!

Christmas!

Last year we weren’t able to set up a tree as there was too much being stored in the living room from cleaning things out. Back when mom started having some health issues, and was in skilled nursing, I started cleaning out the downstairs of the house. We were able to have our tree again, themed red & green! I even put lights in the bay windows. It felt amazing to have it be festive again!

Tree Christmas Eve

It was a light gift year after those health issues and buying supplies to continue her care at home. I think everyone really enjoyed what they got. I know I did!
