The Difficulty of Birthing Monsters

Registered Katahdin, Sugar, had these huge monster lambs, 11lb ewe and 12lb ram. Sire is Registered Katahdin ram, Chief.

  • Ewe Lamb

The 11 lb ewe lamb I had to pull her shoulders through (she was elbow locked) as mom just couldn’t quite push her out.
The 12lb ram lamb was breech with rear legs extended and had to be pulled all the way out, much to the pain of dear mama ewe!
