Breeding started out using some 5.5 month old ram lambs for a ewe each, but were quickly separated a week later and ewes were given to the adult rams. Some of those ram lambs just didn’t look as nice as I would have liked and I wanted to be sure those ewes were bred and productive. The groups below are how the rest of breeding went.
Breeding Group 1 – Registered St Croix
3 year old Registered St Croix Ewe (Ivy),
7 year old Registered St Croix Ewe (Daphne),
3 year old Registered St Croix Ewe (Bedazzled),
8 year old Registered St Croix Ewe (Marty),
1.5 year old Registered St Croix Ewe (Midea) and
2 year old Registered St Croix Ewe (Melva).
Offspring will be 100% St Croix and may be Registered 100% St Croix.
Breeding Group 2 – Registered St Croix
2 year old Registered St Croix Ewe (Gillian),
2 year old Registered St Croix Ewe (Devany),
2 year old Registered St Croix Ewe (Stella),
2 year old Registered St Croix Ewe (Pearl), and
2 year old Registered St Croix Ewe (Darcy).
Offspring will be 100% St Croix and may be Registered 100% St Croix.

Breeding Group 4 – Registered/Recorded Katahdin
2 year old Registered Katahdin Ram, Archie, with:
2 year old Recorded Katahdin Ewe (Corvina),

5 year old Recorded Katahdin Ewe (Poppy),
5 year old Registered Katahdin Ewe (Panda),
2 year old Recorded Katahdin Ewe (Pixie), and
3 year old Recorded Katahdin Ewe (Sparrow).
Offspring from Sugar will be 99.6125% Katahdin/0.3875% Dorper and may be Registered 100% Katahdin.
Selena’s offspring will be 98.340625% Katahdin/1.659375% Dorper and may be Registered 100% Katahdin.
Corvina’s offspring will be about 90+% Katahdin (rest Dorper) and may be Recorded 75% Katahdin.
Sparrow’s offspring will be about 90+% Katahdin (rest Dorper) and may be Recorded 75% Katahdin.
Pixie’s offspring will be 62.5% Katahdin/25% Dorper/12.5% St Croix and may be Recorded 62.5% Katahdin.
Poppy’s offspring will be 95.703125% Katahdin/2.734375% Dorper/1.5625% St Croix and may be Recorded 96.875% Katahdin (ewe didn’t shed clean in years prior so wasn’t upgraded).
Panda’s offspring will be 96.875% Katahdin/3.125% Dorper and may be Registered 100% Katahdin.

Mouse whose offspring will be approx. 90+% Katahdin but may be Recorded 75% Katahdin.

Pepper whose offspring will be 63.671875% Katahdin/32.421875% St Croix/4.296875% Dorper/0.390625% Barbados Blackbelly/0.390625% Black Hawaiian and may be Recorded 64.065% Katahdin.
Lambs are going to be due between December 29th-February 12th, 2025. We expect roughly 18 St Croix lambs and roughly 17 Katahdin or Katahdin cross lambs. These are averages and hope the actual numbers will be higher!
