I have a Diploma in Medical Assistant with Limited X-Ray and one in Massage Therapy. This is where my love of Medicine comes in. I’ve worked at a Naturopathic Dr Office since Nov 2007 (where I started as a Medical Assistant) and I’ve been a Licensed Massage Therapist since June 2009 (though had to stop due to Covid-19, March 16, 2020).
This began my learning of medicinal herbs around the time I started there. I still consider myself a novice, but love knowing what I know! I am studying herbalism and aromatherapy. I enjoy the folklore behind the healing as well as the modern scientific approach. This can be utilizing plant, animal, or crystal energies. Sometimes just using intuition and listening to guides!
I utilize crystals but I don’t believe they heal specific maladies or issues. There just is no evidence this is true other than the Placebo effect (which I do place a lot of value in also). HOWEVER, I do believe that crystals have an “essence”. I do believe you can find one you are very drawn to for whatever reason. I feel that you can use those crystals (no matter what the books say they do) as a focal point for meditating on the issues at hand. It’s merely a beautiful tool to help you focus your meditation skills. Every crystal may have a different meaning to every person so one shouldn’t worry too much if they have the right stone for creating intention, just go with your gut and leave the books out of it. I treat all energy healing with the same theories in fact. I’m pretty down to earth about it and don’t prescribe to the fluffy new age stuff hahaha.
I love the nature spirituality/philosophy and the ties to my Celtic ancestors. I’m a member of OBOD (Order of Bards, Ovates, and Druids) and have recently finished the Bard level and hope to be accepted into the Ovate level soon. I look at Druidry as a philosophy and not a religion. I’m a mystic, healer and historian.
