Harvest Moon on the Homestead

Sunday the 19th, Shane and I took a walk in the woods to see if any mushrooms had popped and what was going on with the creek. We were happy to see some water in it again, though it wasn’t running yet. No mushrooms, but found some neat rocks and explored the fauna in the downpours. We headed for the house about the time we started hearing thunder. Came in the house and the sky unleashed a deluge!

As you can see we finally got some significant rainfall over the weekend after 2 months of dry, warm weather. The dustbowl around the farm was dampened down enough to trigger some weed growth and hopefully some grass soon. Sadly the rest of the week in the forecast looks like more dry and warm weather.
